Black and purple. Why some people like to have that ';gothic' look in their personal life and worklife is beyond me. I'm not talking about wearing it for a Halloween outing. I mean these people wear the dead colors all the time.


I believe that shades of red and pink are the most acceptable colors to wear on your lips. I prefer seeing a bright red myself. Makes the lips standout and gives that sensual look without acting that way.Which shade of lipstick should you never wear ?
I can't really wear colour lipstick, they all look horrible on me, i always wear clear lipgloss, makes my mouth look smaller

Use of cheap quality lipsticks may cause the effect you said...but, all lipsticks don't cause that colour change. Anyway, let your original lip colour be your lip colour....why should you use artificial colours?

yes the artificial colors and chemicals may cause blackening and chapping of lips over a period of time. more importantly,quite a lot of such lipsticks are consumed by women i.e such chemcicals enter the system which is far more harmful than mere discoloration of lips
Some women are sort of sensitive to lipstick (like any other skin products I suppose) and I have actually seen girls with blackened lips. But others like me have used lipstick all their lives and never had a problem.

Try ulta- they have their own site and sell their makeup in several shades. Their lipsticks are 6 dollars each and the more you buy, the better deal you get.





They have tons of shades and are bound to have in that shade. They sell other brands like Sephora does. Try out Sugar brand or Bourjois.

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy makeup has it. I have the entire makeup collection and their like 10-12 bucks. They have the new lipstain stuff to match that color also. Visit a store and an associate will help you find that color, they have it I just forget the name of it right now. :(

You dont need to use lipstick. You are lucky your lips just pop out of your face. All you need is a tinted gloss.
Lucky, I would love darker lips. Use a skin tone color lipliner and fill the entire lip in, or use your foundation over the lips to lighten. Then use whatever color you like.

Bright red would make you look like a porcelain doll! That would be so luscious!!!





I have the same skin tone (very fair, and don't use ';pale'; to describe your skintone, it has a negative connotation, fair is better) and I generally use revlons blackberry color. It is kinda dark, so you could go a few shades lighter with mulled cider. I also reccomend morbid makeups red lipstick, it has a good color. However, you will need to invest in red lipliner for that flawless look. Apply the liner, then the lipstick, then touch up with liner again! You don't want to do to much with your eyes for this look. Just some mascara, at most, and no eyeliner.





You also would look very sexy with a pale neutral (but not pink!) gloss and smoky eyes. Make sure to apply clear, wet looking(but not sparkly!) gloss over the lipstick. I believe you can find nude colors at any CVS. Play up your eyes with grey, brown or black smokey eyes, or defined eyeliner and mascara. With the smokey eyes leave your hair down, the other one requires a chignon. Bangs look very glamorous with these looks!





Keep your tone even with some liquid foundation and powder, and if you want blush, use a neutral shade. I personally despise pink blush, it makes people look like a candyland add! Be sure to finish by rubbing moisturizer on all other exposed areas of skin. This will give you a finished look!

i have found the clinique lipstick shade, 'precious pink' good for this type of look. its an extremely sheer lipstick, look pretty natural. glosses are better than lipsticks, though. the maybelline shiny-licious is my fave!!
well it depends what you are doing...if its just a normal day...i would go for a bright lip gloss, kinda orangy pinkish, b/c it doesnt compete with your skin color and make you look even paler...try clinique...i really love their selection...but if you are going out and are not afraid of looking vampy, i would say go with dark red, but if thats not your thing, go again for a pinkish lipstick...i used to have the same problem.

Right now, nude lips or light pink lips are really in, so I suggest that type of colour tone! You can add a bit of shimmer for going out, but just a nude/light pink colour is awesome for day-wear, you can also wear it for going out! (many celebs have that colour for the red-carpet). If your really bold, than a bright red (Gwen Stefani-like). The Bright Red is also really popular, but it is not really appropriate for, say, school-wear.


Good lipgloss is CoverGirl because it lasts long and you don't always have to reapply! Also, L'Oreal Paris is a good brand that has great shimmer! okay this might sound weird but buy a gold/brown lipstick then some lipgloss.this is how the italians do and it attracts features like your lips also to match it i would experiment with your eyes.
