You can wear dark chocolate browns, caramel color, rosey pinks, and blood-red lipsticks and lipglosses.
Lip colors with berry shades, plums, burgandies and all shades of browns look great with dark skin and hair. Also beiges, golds and soft pinks work well. Generally these colors work well: Nude pinks, nude beiges, mochas, coffees, mahoganies, chocolates, berry shades, deep berry shades, dark plums, wines, burgundies. Avoid orange shades, they will wash you out.

You could honestly get away with quite a lot - it depends on the look you're going for really.


If you wanted to do your eyes up like she has in that picture - you'd want to pick something subtle so it wasn't so... busy.. so, a light rosy pink glossy shade would work. If you wanted to bronze up your complexion and go for neutral shades on your eyes, a really bright coral would look great too - and you could also do a simple black eyeliner with a fire engine red gloss and that would look fab too.


Having a tan complexion with dark skin is sort of the O blood type of the make-up world. You can get away with a lot more color than someone with, say, a fair complexion and red hair.





To the person above: Quite obviously you're wrong - I would consider coral to be a shade of orange, and it can be STUNNING on any tan complexion.. the dark hair especially, it makes your tan pop..
