What is the best shade of lipstick for darker skinned women?

i always see celebrities such as jennifer hudson and kerry washington wearing different shades of lipstick/lip-gloss. i too am a dark skinned woman but i am kinda skeptical about what shades will work best for me. does anyone have any suggestions??What is the best shade of lipstick for darker skinned women?
