What shades of red lipstick go with tan skin?

So I'm planning out my Halloween costume this year, and the look I want to go for calls for red lipstick. Problem is, I'm a pretty tan person, so I'm not sure what color would look best with my skin tone.

A deeper wine red. The classic bright red wouldn't look too flattering.

It depends what you wear. If you are going for a dark look you could go for a dark red. If you are going for a more light and outgoing look, try a Nude color instead of red, or a really light pink.
